Body care in Tokyo in English: what to check before you go
Many places in Tokyo have some English, but "English" can mean different things: a page you can read, a menu you can choose from, a way to book, or staff you can talk to. This page keeps them apart. It lists the places on this site where we could confirm at least one of them on the place's own pages.
What to check before you go
- An English page on the official site. It tells you the address, the hours and the courses. It does not mean that the staff speak English.
- An English menu or price list. You can choose a course and know the price before you arrive. Check whether the price includes tax and what the course covers.
- Booking in English. Some places have an English page but a booking page in Japanese. We mark booking in English only when we found a booking form in English or the place says you can book in English.
- Staff who speak English. We mark this only when the place itself says so. It can depend on who is working that day; some places ask you to request an English-speaking staff member when you book.
- Walk-ins. We mark this only when the place's own page says it takes visitors without a booking. Some places are by appointment only.
